We all have a side we hide. The one we call "too much," "too angry," "too needy," or "too dark."
That part is called the Shadow Self.
What Is Shadow Work?
Coined by Carl Jung, it's the process of meeting your hidden emotions, desires, fears, and impulses — not to fix them, but to embrace them.
Signs You're Avoiding Your Shadow
- You judge others often
- You fear rejection deeply
- You struggle with self-worth or over-achieving
- You burn out because you're constantly "being nice"
How to Start Shadow Work
- Be honest: What emotions do I avoid?
- Be kind: What did I need when I felt this way?
- Be brave: What truth am I scared to say?
- Be curious: What if this side of me is not bad, but wise?
The shadow is not your enemy. It's the part of you craving your love.
